Peek-a-boo!

Look who's back! Of course it's me! I can't believe it's been months since I last posted here and it will be Christmas very soon!

I have't updated this page for a very long time. I guess I just didn't feel like writing anything and most of my free time is spent at home with my family. But of course, I missed writing down my not so daily musings.

By the way, thanks to those who visited my page and definitely I'll blog hop too when I'm not busy.

Be back later. Work mode first.

Sunday, April 3, 2011

It is Sunday. However, I have tons to do and also have work tonight at 10PM. Yep, I don't have a restday but since I'm just working from home, I don't mind it at all. Hubby and I don't have plans to go anywhere today so we'll just relax and hopefully, I can get some sleep. Tomorrow, I have to go to Fortune Care for our annual physical exam. We also plan to bring the kids to a dentist for check-up. 24hrs is really not enough for a busy bee like me LOL!

For the rest who have a normal schedule, enjoy the rest of the day! Chill!

Happy Saturday!

Just 2hrs more and I'll be on my way home. Oh, I plan to drop by TriNoma and visit Landmark because they have a sale event until Sunday. I'll take advantage of the great deals as I need to buy shirts anyways for hubby and hopefully for the kids too.

I'm also thinking where to eat lunch later. I ate at KFC yesterday and maybe I can eat there again LOL!

I hope everybody enjoys the weekend!

It's super hot and humid these days especially during the afternoon. It can be quite a challenge to sleep. However, if one is soo sleepy and sleep-deprived, that's me by the way, I can still sleep through everything.

Times like these, I want to take a dip in the pool. Or be in the beach.

Anyhow, must try to sleep again. Need to report for work later in the office. I won't working from home until tomorrow.

Yesterday, the kids and I bonded over lunch at Jollibee, their favorite. We were joined by their grandma (my mom), Aileen, my niece, and Russell and May. It was good timing too that we were there because the Jollibee mascot was in attendance for a party. My kids were jumping with joy when they saw Jollibee but they didn't like it when we went near the mascot LOL!

My kids are easy to please. They are excited whenever we go out and go to SM and they will immediately request for Jollibee. We just had lunch and I was able to buy shirts for Jeremy as it was on sale, buy 1 take 1 :) I also did my grocery and I was feeling pretty good even if I came directly from shift and haven't slept yet.

When we got home, there was power outage which affected a lot of areas. And there I was hoping I could get some decent sleep before my shift in the evening. Amidst the hot weather, I managed to sleep for a few minutes and then I was awakened by the news that power has been restored. Woot! I got a few hours of sleep and that works for me. Better than nothing, right? And now I'm almost done with my shift and will sleep again after.

That's how my Saturday went. Simple joys of watching my children laugh and just being happy. And of course, getting quality rest is another :)

Bruno Mars in Araneta Coliseum

I am so looking forward to April 8. Bruno Mars will have a concert in Araneta Coliseum and of course, I already got tickets! Woot woot! I bought mine back in February and I checked last week and the concert is sold out.

Here's my favorite song from Bruno Mars

This will do for now until I get to hear him sing this live.

Of birthdays and moons

Today is March 19. It is the feast day of St. Joseph. The Super Moon can be seen on the night sky as well. And most of all, it is my birthday :)

So far, I know 4 people whom I share my birthday with. A very happy birthday to us, Mel, Juboy, Paul, and Amy!

Cheers to another year of our exciting lives!

Retreat!

As promised, I'll give feedback to S&R Members's Treat. However, it's going to be super short and simple as we didn't even get the chance to get inside and experience the sale. LOL! We went there last Wednesday, first day of the sale, around 9:30am. There was heavy traffic going to the Congressional Ave. branch and yes, it was because of the customers who were having difficulties finding parking space. We were going to brave it but to our horror, there was a long, snake-like queue of customers outside waiting for their turn to get inside too! Tsk. That was it. We retreated and maybe will go back today or even tomorrow. Hopefully the turnout of customers wouldn't be the same as the previous days. But then, I'm praying that there will still be good deals left for us. LOL

By the way, TGIF :)

Happy 2nd birthday, Jamie!

Happy 2nd birthday, Jamie!

Before the day ends, I would like to greet my pretty Jamie a happy 2nd birthday! We love you so much baby and we are very happy for the happiness you bring to us everyday. We didn't have a big celebration today but I'm sure you'll enjoy tomorrow when the whole family goes swimming :D

I love you, baby! :)

I'm back online! Our dsl connection went back up last Sunday and I worked at home again since yesterday. Whew! It was such a relief! I realized I was so dependent on the internet for a lot of things and mostly for work, of course.

Just a few days from now and Jamie and I will celebrate our birthdays. We have a pool party this Sunday for her birthday and I'm sure the kids will enjoy. It's officially the start of summer although it also rains on some days. I already shopped for the things we need for the party and will just buy a few more items before the big day :)

Hubby and I are also looking forward to S&R Members's Treat on March 16-20. We went to the October sale last year and there were a lot of good deals. I hope we can go there early and take advantage of great deals but I'm sure there will be LOTS and LOTS of people and we better be prepared to stand in the queue for hours.

I'll post again to share my experience :D

DSL downtime

I haven't been able to blog these past few days because I have no freaking internet connection at home! Grrrr. PLDT had the gall to temporarily restrict my access even though I already paid my bill and there was no previous balance. Now, I have to wait for them to reactivate the account and for the meantime, I have to work at a co-worker's place. Good thing her house is just 15 minutes away so it's not much of a hassle traveling to her place.

I am fervently hoping that my connection gets reactivated at least until Monday so that I can work from home again. Otherwise, I'll bug them again and mind you, it takes at least 20mins before I can get a rep on the line. If I am not lucky, the rep will just hang up and I will have to dial again. Sigh. I am so stressed and honestly, if it's not so difficult to get a DSL connection with another company, I would have transferred. I guess for now, all I can do is patiently wait and hope they keep their promise to give me back my internet access very soon.

Happy weekend!

Today is the start of another work-week and so far, not busy yet. But hubby and I had our hands full earlier this morning as we cleaned our room and sorted our stuff. I didn't realize we have accumulated a lot of stuff (and junk) through the years. One of these days, I'll have to check my kids's clothes and see which of those still fit. Their cousins would definitely appreciate new clothes :)

Work mode again. Good night!

Sunday Firsts

I woke up early today even if I slept late. I guess I was just excited with our activities for the day. Hubby and I left for Lung Center's Sunday Market around 10am. We just wanted to eat lunch and buy langosteen and lemon again. We were surprised though when the market space was vacant. No cars were parked and just nothing. Hmmm...I thought they didn't transfer but anyway, we just went straight to Eton Centris as we heard there's also a Sunday market there.

It was our first time there and I'd say the place looks okay, there were a lot of stuff available but since it was already late, there weren't many choices anymore for langosteen. The prices are also higher compared to the one in Lung Center maybe because they pay more for the stall. We just ate lunch and bought some stuff then we headed to our next destination.

For the past few days, I have read a lot about Padre Pio. I've heard about him in the past but only recently did I get the chance to know him better through Girltalk. Since then, I wanted to grab the opportunity to visit St. Pio Chapel in Libis. The mass has started when we got there and it was packed so we stayed outside to finish the mass. After that, I went inside the chapel to stand in line for the anointing of holy oil. I then proceeded to Padre Pio's life-size statue but it turned out there was a very looong queue of devotees waiting for their chance too. I wrote my personal petition first and then patiently waited for my turn. Looking around the chapel, there were different types of people from all ages. That's how well-loved Padre Pio is. He was known to heal the sick and perform miracles before and after his death. When it was finally my turn, I felt a sense of relief when I touched his hand. It was like he took my worries and fears away. I silently prayed and stood there, holding his hand and everything felt fine.

Today, I have reaffirmed my faith in God. I am also thankful to have met Padre Pio and I know, through his intercession, nothing is impossible :) I will patiently wait for God's time and just relax. To quote him, "Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry." Amen.

Thoughts on a Saturday Night

Movie night with the family. Hubby and I are both on leave from work so we'll make the most out of it. Just one movie though and it's a wrap for the kids :)

As for me, I have some planning to do because it's:

- Jamie's 2nd bday on March 12
- my Mom's on the 14
- mine on the 19th.

As we are on a tight budget because of our impending transfer to our new house, most probably we'll just have a simple celebration at home. What's important is the whole family will be together and of course, we can give thanks for another year added in to our lives :)

Like the past years, I become sentimental everytime my birthday draws near. I look back and reminisce what I have become through the years. Sometimes, I get disappointed with myself for not reaching the goals I have set. But I am learning to accept that things don't always go as planned and I can't get everything that I want. This realization makes me look forward to living my life and just be thankful that I am alive. Now that I have my own family, they are my inspiration and source of strength. Truly, life is beautiful to waste it with regrets. We live only once. Let's make the most out of it :)

Prayer
Jesus, thank You for the gift of life.
I will sleep tonight and cast all my
fears and worries away. I read once,
"I am too blessed to be stressed."
So true :)

Good night!

"PRAY, HOPE AND DONT WORRY." - Padre Pio

This is my mantra from now on. Indeed, when we surrender everything to God, with the powerful intercession of Mama Mary and Padre Pio, He will give us everything that we need. In His perfect time :)

Thursday, February 24, 2011

While everybody is busy rushing to the office, I am preparing to go to bed. Wow, what a night! Irate callers. Unbelievable clients. Back ache. All in a day's work.

Time for me to hit the sack. Have a great Thursday!

Good afternoon, world!

I just woke up, had late lunch and now, relaxing a little bit while the kids are still sleeping. Earlier today, hubby and I went to our new house and met with the contractor. Too bad the old one we spoke with before already left and can't work with us anymore. Sigh. The budget we prepared was according to his design and now, with the new contractor, we are overbudget and it worries me if we can still push through with our plans :(

I think we just need to set priorities and hopefully after we transfer, we can just finish the rest slowly but surely. I'm sure everything will fall in to place.

Monday, February 21, 2011

I have written down the things I need to get done today and yet, here I am, lounging in front of the computer, checking facebook and well, I just feel like relaxing. Maybe I can relax for a lil more. The past few weeks have been stressful, what with Jeremy's hospitalization, the audit report I had to finish in just a few days, and a lot more.

So yeah, I think I'll just take it easy today. Maybe watch My Amnesia Girl and then take a nap afterwards? Just a few hours more and it's back to work.

Sunday bonding

I love Sundays. It's my rest day from work and I get to spend the whole day with the kids. Today, we are on a movie marathon ala Pixar. That is, the kids and I are watching movies by Pixar. Movies of the day are Ratatouille and Monsters Inc. We've watched these twice this day alone LOL! I bet the kids already memorized the lines and scenes :) I plan to call it a night after this movie though. Got to catch up with some serious sleep hehe!

Surprise!

I got the chance to visit my blog today which unfortunately I have neglected due to my heavy workload. Now, I got more free time so hopefully, I'd get to write more often :)

Anyway, I tried to check my page rank today and guess what, I got PR2! Well, it's not very high like the other bloggers, but this is the first time I got a rank LOL! It is one motivation indeed to check out my blog frequently.

Got to catch some Zzzzzzs first as my shift ended 3 hours ago and I still have work tonight. I have a lot of stories next time :)

Happy weekend, y'all!

Late Post

First entry for 2011 :) (This was supposedly for January but it just sat on my drafts LOL)

I am so excited for this year because in just a few months, we'll be moving in to our own home. We waited so long for this and now it's finally a reality. If things go according to plan, Jamie and I will celebrate our bdays there :) *update: I don't think this is going to happen. Sigh. We are still waiting for Pag-ibig to release the funds so there we are still waiting for news.

We have a lot of plans and I hope our budget will allow us to buy all the things that we need. Oh well, I guess we need to set priorities and the rest will follow. And we still have our old things that we used when we rented an apartment almost 2yrs ago. We just bought new set of plates, glasses, and a few more necessities. Last week, I scored an electric juicer for only 225php as it was on sale with 50% off! Cool huh! It was a good buy and I had to hold back myself from spending more hehehe :D

By the way, we went to Lung Center's Weekend Market last Sunday. I thought they already moved to Eton Centris located in Quezon Avenue but it seems there are 2 weekend markets now. The one in Lung Center has a new organizer and will stay there. Hubby and I bought lemons at 10 pesos each and 1kg. of langosteen for only 250php. Needless to say, it was one filling, Sunday afternoon.

We plan to return next week if the budget permits :)

Good night everyone!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers everywhere! Welcome back to me as well! 😄 It has been a very long time since my last entry. I am...
