Mommy Moments: Summer Outing

mommy moments

This week's theme is Summer Outing. Jeremy had his first time at the beach last year when my company had our annual Summer Outing at Al Fresco Beach Resort in Matabungkay, Batangas. He was only 1yr. and 4mos. old when we went there. He loved the beach instantly when we arrived there and it was very difficult to pry him away from the water LOL!

You can barely see me there as my son seems to be bigger than me :)

This year we were able to make a short trip to Subic a few weeks before I gave birth. My sister-in-law came to visit us after so many years of staying in the US. We all went to Subic for a swim. Too bad the name of the resort where we stayed escaped my mind. Jeremy and his cousin, Dylan, frolicked in the sand and had a good time.

The second picture above was of Jeremy while he was on his kiddie pool. He was just right outside our house and he enjoyed a lot. Because I gave birth two weeks ago, we won't be able to go on another beach outing anytime soon so for now, his kiddie pool will suffice :)

Which Harry Potter Character Are You?

I finally took the Harry Potter quiz that Hazel did and this is my result. LOL!

Your result for The Harry potter character Test...

Draco Malfoy

56% , 57% , 55%

"My father told me all the Weasleys have red hair, freckles, and more children than they can afford...You'll soon find out some wizarding families are much better than others, Potter. You don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there."
Oh come on hes not a bad guy. Anyone would be a bit of a dick if he had Draco's upbringing. He didn't kill Albus-proving the ultimate in moral fibre-far more than his dear old dad. While not top of the year, Draco is intelligent and Harry's equal at practically everything. Certainly the brightest Slytherin

I didn't know I had that "Slytherin" in me :) I thought I'd be Ron Weasley because we're both Pisceans and well, because we were MFEO (Sorry, Hermione) in the Harry Potter dimension :)

Busy Rona

Our new baby is not difficult to take care of because she just basically sleeps most of the time, cries when she's hungry or if her nappies are dirty. But still, I am so busy the whole day that I barely have time to do other things.

My one-week leave from work is now over and I have resumed working since last Sunday. Good thing I work from home so this is not difficult for me. Hubby's paternity leave is also over so he went to work last night. And just today, I experienced taking calls while feeding baby Jamie! Whoa! That was some serious multi-tasking as I had to navigate the customer's account, speaking at the same time and simultaneously holding baby's bottle. And then during my break, I had to go down and check on Jeremy with what he's doing. We do have a nanny but sadly, she can't be entrusted to hold my newborn.

So that's what's been keeping me busy. I know I have a lot of pending tags and awards to grab :) I'll get on to them for sure. I just need to manage my time more :)

What's your smell?

I don’t have a big collection of perfumes but the ones that I got I treasure because aside from having been given to me as gifts, they’re also the ones that I adore.

Tommy Girl tops my list as it has a simple smell and not overpowering. It’s very light and I feel refreshed every time I spray it on. I also love the scent of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea and Cool Water for Women. If you’ve smelled any of the above, you would notice that they are all light scents, fresh and cool. I guess it fits my personality as I just live a simple life, free from complications. Also, if I am thinking of buying a new one, I read reviews first and one site to go to is perfume blog. Of course, perfumes don't come cheap now so it's important to get your money's worth :)

I'm thinking of buying D&G Light Blue next time. I know this is an old one but I just love the smell. I'd have to start saving up for it.

Mommy Moments: Siblings/Cousin Bonding

mommy moments

When I saw my children together for the first time, I felt an overwhelming sense of happiness. My 2 y/o old son looked lovingly at his younger sister but this is short-lived as I noticed him itching to tug at her leg LOL! Whenever they're together we're always alert because my son loves to hold hands and his baby sister is too delicate to be held yet.

It's difficult to take a pic of them together as my son squirms most of the time so this is the best that we got. I bet it would be too cute once they start playing together and I'll make sure to catch snapshots when that time comes.

Their cousins live next door but I've yet to take a pic of them together as we just moved here 2 weeks ago. Maybe I can add it some other time :)

Go shawty...

It's my birthday
I'm gonna party like it's my birthday :D

Yep, today's my birthday and I turn the big 3-0.

Hmmm...I don't feel like my age yet and anyway, what am I supposed to feel? LOL! Age is just a number :)

Hubby just cooked spaghetti and will buy ice cream later. That's enough for me. Just being with my family and with everybody healthy, those are the best gifts I could ever receive. Of course, my other gift came exactly one week ago when I gave birth to my daughter, Jamie :)

To those who I share the same birthday, Happy Birthday to you too!

p.s. Today is also the feast of St. Joseph :)

Shopping for the right credit card

Before getting a credit card, it’s best to shop around for the one that offers the best deal. I visited cash back credit cards and learned a great deal about the different features that a lot of credit card companies offer. It’s a wealth of information as I get to know more about the credit cards that are available. It’s good to know which one suit me best so that when I finally decide to get one, I already know which one will work for me.

I am gearing towards the credit card that offers Balance Transfers so that in the future I can consolidate my balances in a card that offers the best balance transfer rate. This will surely come in handy when the need arises.

Mommy Moments: Sleeping Time

mommy moments

I love looking at my kids while they're sleeping; they sure look like angels sent from heaven :)

I was only 32wks preggy when I gave birth to Jeremy and of course, he had to stay in the incubator for a few days. This picture was of him when he was sleeping. He was just a day old but see how he's already found a good position LOL!

The second pic is of his baby sister, Jamie. It was taken while she was still in the nursery. I think she's more demure being a girl but I noticed that she likes to cover her face :)

Welcome to the world, Jamie!

I'm back! Just got home from the hospital last night with our baby Jamie :)

Yep, I just had my regular check-up last Wednesday and during my IE, my OB-Gyn found out I was already 3cms dilated and with regular contractions which I haven't taken seriously. I thought they were just braxton hicks! After all, I was only 36wks and 5 days preggy. I was advised to go home and get my stuff but hubby and I had to do our grocery first.

I gave birth the next day, March 12 at 7:02am to a baby girl! I'll just post in another entry the whole story as I am still feeling sore and I just had to let anyone know quickly what happened to me :)

My very first picture

Also, I'll be doing the Mommy Moments post hopefully later as I have pictures to share :)

Have a nice day everyone!

Mommy Moments: Bath Time

This week's theme is Bath time and I just realized I don't have a lot of pictures with this theme. I remember taking a snap shot of Jeremy's first bath but it got lost somewhere. Oh well.

Anyways, this picture was taken last year before he turned 2. It was after he took a bath though LOL! He was wrapped in his towel with his daddy holding him.

Bagong shower

He just loves to take a bath and when we put him in his tub, he just doesn't want to get out of it anymore :D He gives us a hard time whenever we tell him bathing time is over but I can't really blame him. With the scorching heat this summer, one would really love to just take a splash in the water :)

Changes

I have been a Bayan DSL subscriber for almost 2 years and I can say that even with some technical issues, I'm pretty happy with the service that I am getting. I use the internet for work and without it, I'd really freak out.

However, due to recent changes in our end, we decided to get a new one. PLDT connection, that is. We got pretty much a better plan for the same price that we've been paying for bayantel. Some of my colleagues are using PLDT DSL and they are content with the service. This is my first time to try so I am kinda wary but nevertheless, hopeful that I can say the same thing when I finally get to try it.

Any feedback from those who are using PLDT too? I'd love to hear from you :)

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers everywhere! Welcome back to me as well! 😄 It has been a very long time since my last entry. I am...
