I have been itching to bake again and wanted to try other goodies aside from the usual cookies, brownies I have baked. I searched online and stumbled upon an egg pie recipe which I found quite straightforward to do.
So, when we hit the grocery, I bought all the supplies I needed to make one and set off to bake my first egg pie.
Unfortunately, I'm not really sure what went wrong but my pie was hard LOL! Well, it's delicious but I wasn't satisfied with the presentation so I couldn't bear to take a picture hahaha! Jeremy, his yaya and I ate it and I think there's just one slice left in the fridge. It was still yummy but I would've considered it successful if it looked exactly like the ones sold in the bakeshops.
I guess I can't really have it all on my first try. I think I will have to let the syrup cool first before mixing it with the egg-milk mixture so that the egg won't prematurely cook. The crust tasted fine though but a bit thinner than I wanted it to be.
Maybe I'll try again next time but my hubby is insisting I bake our own pizza crust instead of buying one from the grocery. That one will take a lot of courage and time, of course. I promised him that I'll give it a try on my rest day so that I'll have a lot of time on my hands :D
Happy weekend!

Honest Scrap: 10 Things You Should Know About Me!
I got this award from Lorela, a blogger-friend. Thanks for this award! :)
Honest Scrap Award Rules:
When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows he or she is real.
Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.” Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on!
Now, here is a list of 10 Honest Things about Me! :)
1. I am such a worry-wart. I worry about things that are yet to happen and then I realize in the end, "why am I stressing myself?" LOL!
2. I am so forgetful. I attribute this to having given birth but my hubby thinks otherwise. He says I have always been forgetful eversince. For example, I wrote a list of the things to buy during our grocery trip. Only to forget bringing the list itself. Weird but I remembered putting it in my purse... :)
3. I don't answer the telephone except for when I am expecting a call. I just don't like answering it. Even if I'm there and I can hear it, I ask someone to answer it instead. So to those who intend to call me, text me first okie? :D
4. I talk to myself. Out loud. Enough said.
5. I love my magic sing. One thing though I wouldn't be caught doing is singing a song sung by males. Well, if I can sing it a la female version, it's fine but to sing it in a male's pitch, no way! I'm vain when it comes to singing and I want to sound good all the time. LOL!
6. I'm obssessed with my son's weight especially when he was a newborn. His birth weight was only 3.96lbs so I had him weighed every week just to make sure he is gaining enough. But now, I'd say I mellowed down a bit.
7. I'm such a chatterbox that when I keep quiet, the people around me ask if I'm not feeling well LOL!
8. I look snobbish, at least according to others. Maybe it's because I'm shy (believe it or not) so I don't really smile while I'm walking. Besides I think I'd freak people out if I smile at everyone I come across with on the road LOL!
9. I'm the biggest procrastinator there is. I know it's bad. I'll stop...later :D
10. I get all clammy when I'm hungry. It's hard for me to concentrate and my insides I think are trying to eat each other hahaha! OA much?
I am passing this award to Abi, Prima, Lee, Honney, Amor. Will think of the other 2 next time :)

Catching up with y'all
I finally got the chance to sneak in a post before January comes to an end. I was pretty busy this past week as we were recruiting for a new account. I've yet to hear from Prima if the client was able to choose successful candidates from the roster so I'm keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed, hoping that we get to close this one immediately.
By the way, I'm already on my 30th week of pregnancy. D-day is fast approaching and I'm glad we were able to buy most of baby's stuff yesterday. It was fun to shop for nice pink clothes for baby LOL! We'll have to complete the list next week though as I plan to just rest and take it easy after that. My tummy is heavy and I can't stand walking and standing for a long time so I make sure that when I hit the grocery or department store, I have a list handy to make things easier for me. It works great with my hubby too as he is impatient and always rushes me when I do my shopping hehe!
In other news, my son Jeremy is doing fine. He's talkative but I can't understand most of his words and he gets irritated when I don't get what he's saying so he drags me and points to what he'd like for me to do hehehe! It's nice to see that he's communicating. I join him when he's watching his fave shows on Playhouse Disney and loves dancing to the songs. He's so adorable and I'm curious and excited how he'll react when he sees his little sister :)
So that's what's been happening to me lately. Hopefully I'll get back to blogging again next week if it's not too busy at work.
Happy weekend everybody!

Yummy loot
The first picture above is the chocolate gift pack I won from Yummy magazine for their October promo. There were a lot of chocolates! Woot!
The second one is part of what we redeemed with the 1K worth of gift certificates from Cinnabon which I won back in November. Can you believe it, 2 months in a row?! That was pretty cool! We already consumed the hot and cold drinks and I couldn't believe prices have increased. Well, it's been more than 2 years since I last bought from them so I guess it was inevitable.
It was also nice to finally see the office of Summit Media and definitely I'd be joining their contests again in the future :)
Happy Friday!

Blogging Gig
I work from home. Being a full-time mother and wife, this really works best for me as I have this great opportunity to fulfill my duties at home and at the same time, help with our finances.
Add to this the fact that I am such an internet addict that I stay online most of the time when I'm not busy so I figured I could earn extra and maximize the time I spend online at the same time. A good friend introduced the concept of paid blogging to me and it appealed to me because I already have a blog which I have been maintaining since 2003. It was great to know that I get to do something I love and earn through it as well. Unfortunately, that blog was not approved so I created a new one and made sure it met the requirement.
Paid blogging is very helpful for those who would like to earn extra. Check blog advertising to get to know more information on how it works. The site is a great source of information for those who are just starting out. Advertisers are also encouraged to apply. The site offers a lot of packages that will work for bloggers and advertisers a lot.
Blog advertising is an effective way to reach out to a great number of prospective customers for the advertisers. At this day and age where almost everybody has access to the internet, sharing of information and even goods and services is just one click away. Not to mention that this is a cheaper way for advertisers to promote their products and services.
I also recommend visiting its Blog for helpful tips to ensure that you get all the opportunities presented at the website. I have always loved writing so it’s great that I can do my passion and earn at the same time.
