It is Sunday. However, I have tons to do and also have work tonight at 10PM. Yep, I don't have a restday but since I'm just working from home, I don't mind it at all. Hubby and I don't have plans to go anywhere today so we'll just relax and hopefully, I can get some sleep. Tomorrow, I have to go to Fortune Care for our annual physical exam. We also plan to bring the kids to a dentist for check-up. 24hrs is really not enough for a busy bee like me LOL!
For the rest who have a normal schedule, enjoy the rest of the day! Chill!

Yesterday, the kids and I bonded over lunch at Jollibee, their favorite. We were joined by their grandma (my mom), Aileen, my niece, and Russell and May. It was good timing too that we were there because the Jollibee mascot was in attendance for a party. My kids were jumping with joy when they saw Jollibee but they didn't like it when we went near the mascot LOL!
My kids are easy to please. They are excited whenever we go out and go to SM and they will immediately request for Jollibee. We just had lunch and I was able to buy shirts for Jeremy as it was on sale, buy 1 take 1 :) I also did my grocery and I was feeling pretty good even if I came directly from shift and haven't slept yet.
When we got home, there was power outage which affected a lot of areas. And there I was hoping I could get some decent sleep before my shift in the evening. Amidst the hot weather, I managed to sleep for a few minutes and then I was awakened by the news that power has been restored. Woot! I got a few hours of sleep and that works for me. Better than nothing, right? And now I'm almost done with my shift and will sleep again after.
That's how my Saturday went. Simple joys of watching my children laugh and just being happy. And of course, getting quality rest is another :)

Of birthdays and moons
Today is March 19. It is the feast day of St. Joseph. The Super Moon can be seen on the night sky as well. And most of all, it is my birthday :)
So far, I know 4 people whom I share my birthday with. A very happy birthday to us, Mel, Juboy, Paul, and Amy!
Cheers to another year of our exciting lives!

Happy 2nd birthday, Jamie!
Happy 2nd birthday, Jamie!
Before the day ends, I would like to greet my pretty Jamie a happy 2nd birthday! We love you so much baby and we are very happy for the happiness you bring to us everyday. We didn't have a big celebration today but I'm sure you'll enjoy tomorrow when the whole family goes swimming :D

DSL downtime
I haven't been able to blog these past few days because I have no freaking internet connection at home! Grrrr. PLDT had the gall to temporarily restrict my access even though I already paid my bill and there was no previous balance. Now, I have to wait for them to reactivate the account and for the meantime, I have to work at a co-worker's place. Good thing her house is just 15 minutes away so it's not much of a hassle traveling to her place.
I am fervently hoping that my connection gets reactivated at least until Monday so that I can work from home again. Otherwise, I'll bug them again and mind you, it takes at least 20mins before I can get a rep on the line. If I am not lucky, the rep will just hang up and I will have to dial again. Sigh. I am so stressed and honestly, if it's not so difficult to get a DSL connection with another company, I would have transferred. I guess for now, all I can do is patiently wait and hope they keep their promise to give me back my internet access very soon.
Happy weekend!

Thoughts on a Saturday Night
Movie night with the family. Hubby and I are both on leave from work so we'll make the most out of it. Just one movie though and it's a wrap for the kids :)
As for me, I have some planning to do because it's:
- Jamie's 2nd bday on March 12
- my Mom's on the 14
- mine on the 19th.
As we are on a tight budget because of our impending transfer to our new house, most probably we'll just have a simple celebration at home. What's important is the whole family will be together and of course, we can give thanks for another year added in to our lives :)
Like the past years, I become sentimental everytime my birthday draws near. I look back and reminisce what I have become through the years. Sometimes, I get disappointed with myself for not reaching the goals I have set. But I am learning to accept that things don't always go as planned and I can't get everything that I want. This realization makes me look forward to living my life and just be thankful that I am alive. Now that I have my own family, they are my inspiration and source of strength. Truly, life is beautiful to waste it with regrets. We live only once. Let's make the most out of it :)
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for the gift of life.
I will sleep tonight and cast all my
fears and worries away. I read once,
"I am too blessed to be stressed."
So true :)

Good afternoon, world!
I just woke up, had late lunch and now, relaxing a little bit while the kids are still sleeping. Earlier today, hubby and I went to our new house and met with the contractor. Too bad the old one we spoke with before already left and can't work with us anymore. Sigh. The budget we prepared was according to his design and now, with the new contractor, we are overbudget and it worries me if we can still push through with our plans :(
I think we just need to set priorities and hopefully after we transfer, we can just finish the rest slowly but surely. I'm sure everything will fall in to place.

I have written down the things I need to get done today and yet, here I am, lounging in front of the computer, checking facebook and well, I just feel like relaxing. Maybe I can relax for a lil more. The past few weeks have been stressful, what with Jeremy's hospitalization, the audit report I had to finish in just a few days, and a lot more.
So yeah, I think I'll just take it easy today. Maybe watch My Amnesia Girl and then take a nap afterwards? Just a few hours more and it's back to work.

Surprise!
I got the chance to visit my blog today which unfortunately I have neglected due to my heavy workload. Now, I got more free time so hopefully, I'd get to write more often :)
Anyway, I tried to check my page rank today and guess what, I got PR2! Well, it's not very high like the other bloggers, but this is the first time I got a rank LOL! It is one motivation indeed to check out my blog frequently.
Got to catch some Zzzzzzs first as my shift ended 3 hours ago and I still have work tonight. I have a lot of stories next time :)
Happy weekend, y'all!

Late Post
First entry for 2011 :) (This was supposedly for January but it just sat on my drafts LOL)
I am so excited for this year because in just a few months, we'll be moving in to our own home. We waited so long for this and now it's finally a reality. If things go according to plan, Jamie and I will celebrate our bdays there :) *update: I don't think this is going to happen. Sigh. We are still waiting for Pag-ibig to release the funds so there we are still waiting for news.
We have a lot of plans and I hope our budget will allow us to buy all the things that we need. Oh well, I guess we need to set priorities and the rest will follow. And we still have our old things that we used when we rented an apartment almost 2yrs ago. We just bought new set of plates, glasses, and a few more necessities. Last week, I scored an electric juicer for only 225php as it was on sale with 50% off! Cool huh! It was a good buy and I had to hold back myself from spending more hehehe :D
By the way, we went to Lung Center's Weekend Market last Sunday. I thought they already moved to Eton Centris located in Quezon Avenue but it seems there are 2 weekend markets now. The one in Lung Center has a new organizer and will stay there. Hubby and I bought lemons at 10 pesos each and 1kg. of langosteen for only 250php. Needless to say, it was one filling, Sunday afternoon.
We plan to return next week if the budget permits :)

Hello, 2011!
More than 1hr to go and we will bid farewell to 2010. This year saw a lot of challenges for my family and I. There was a bit of a struggle but overall, this was a good year and I couldn't be more thankful for all the wonderful blessings that we have received.
A new year comes and it brings hope that whatever life throws at us, we will come out of it stronger and better persons. Life will not always be peachy and might not always go according to our plans. We just have to trust Him that whatever He has planned for us is always the best and what we deserved.
From my family to yours, here's wishing everyone a prosperous new year! Cheers to 2011!

Anime-zing Party!
We had our company Christmas party last Sunday and I had a blast! Hubby and Jeremy came along. Too bad Jamie wasn't feeling well so I didn't bring her anymore.
It was nice to see old friends and new team members. As I have probably mentioned a number of times in the past, I work from home and have been for almost 5years now. It's nice to see the faces behind the voices, or the private messages :)
Our theme this year was Anime-zing Christmas party. I didn't join the cosplay as I don't know who to imitate hehe! We had Japanese food which happens to be hubby's favorite so he kept on returning to order sushi. I joined the games and our team won the grand prize! Woot! And not only that, I won a spanking brand new Vtech cordless phone! That's a major upgrade because I didn't win anything last year. My heart was set in winning the netbook but I can try again next year, of course :)
We got home late but it was all worth it. More power to TGK-Asia! Good luck and here's hoping for a bountiful 2011!

Pay day Tuesday
Wonderful morning to everyone!
For breakfast today, I had french toast with coffee. When hubby and Jeremy wake up, they'll have french toast too but with sausage. I'm sure they'll love it.
2hrs to go before my shift ends and I am hoping to get some much needed rest. And then in the afternoon, maybe I could squeeze in some hip hop abs for 30mins LOL! I badly need to lose some weight. I don't want to resort anymore to crash dieting or taking diet pills. This time, I want to eat just right with exercise on the side. Sounds good :)
Enjoy the rest of the day!
P.S. Woot! Thank God, it's Pay day!

Happy Thanksgiving!
It's already Thursday here in my side of the world, so I'll be the first to greet our friends in the US a Happy Thanksgiving day!
This occasion is not celebrated much here because we focus on Christmas. But today, I would like to take the opportunity to thank God and everyone who has helped me one way or another.
Today, I am thankful...
...that I have my family. For the gift of having kids and a hubby who loves me unconditionally :)
...for my health. I know I have gained a lot of weight recently but that only means there is food on the table and nowadays, that's a lot to be thankful for :) But yeah, diet to follow LOL!
...for my family's health. Amen.
...that I have a job that I love. Almost 5 years now and I still feel enthusiastic reporting for work. Maybe it helps that I work from home hehehe!
...for my friends, who I admit, I don't have much anymore like before. I am thankful, though, that I got the real ones who stuck with me :) You know who you are *wink*
...for the problems as I know, those are meant to teach me a lesson or two. I am teaching myself not to worry so much over things I don't have control of. I know how difficult the situation might be but there's always an end to it. God will help lead the way :)

S & R Sale - Sept. 15 to 19
I am so excited today. Hubby and I applied for a membership at S&R and we decided to do it because it's their year-end(?) sale from Sept. 15 to 19. We're definitely going today which is the first day and we'll brave the crowd of shoppers who want to get good deals.
We tried their NY pizza combo and it was delish! For only 99php, we had it sliced in two and we shared the bottomless soda for 39php. The pizza had a lot of toppings and I can say it's better than the other pizza I've tried. Jeremy had ice cream for himself and for the first time, he wasn't able to finish it LOL! Well, I think it only had about 3 spoonfuls when he gave up hehehe! I want to try their rotisserie chicken later. I read good reviews about it and can't wait to try it for myself.
So, my shift is done in about 23mins. I'll eat a quick breakfast and will sleep in a few. Hubby will fetch me around 12nn so better get ready for the jungle later :D

Yay! Friday is here and I can't wait for the weekend. But first, need to go to the office later and work my shift there. It's our team's monthly Performance Evaluation Feedback session and I definitely can't miss it. Lots of food too :D
Have a great Friday everyone!
P.S. To all Moms, please don't forget to check out the survey on my blog. There will be gifts for your babies as a token of appreciation :)

Safety First
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.
People nowadays always seem to be in a rush to get to somewhere but that is no reason for us to disregard our safety. This is why we have to obey traffic rules all the time and be considerate of the pedestrians walking in the street. It must be difficult too, for disabled people to catch up with all these but it’s a great thing that NMEDA (National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association) is around to promote safe driving and equipment for disabled people. NMEDA dealers make sure that this is accomplished by selling handicap vans and vehicle modifications for disabled people.
They also have a personalized “in-person” evaluation to be sure that everyone is getting the perfect driving solution that meets their specific needs as no two disabled persons are exactly the same. Of course, should there be any additional training or information that customers might require, NMEDA dealers will be more than happy to help. In this way, disabled persons can be given the chance to get back on being independent again.
Aside from NMEDA dealers, they also have Quality Assurance Program (QAP) dealers. QAP is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment System. One can be assured that companies provide a systematic and documented approach to quality that will benefit its customers in the long run.
We must not forget how difficult it is as well for the caregivers but not to worry as NMEDA qualified dealers will provide all information needed as to how their products can greatly help a disabled person get back on track.
I tried to check NMEDA for dealers within the area and found 4 of them! Now, getting all the help I need will be very easy. You can try to look for some in your area too, and it would be great if you can let me know if there is a qualified dealer in your location.
Hey, it's Wednesday!
Wow, can you believe it's already Wednesday? Just 2 more days and here comes the weekend again. I hope it doesn't rain this time as we are planning to go to the playground with the kids. They had a lot of fun last time we went there so yeah, it would be great to see them having the time of their lives, in a very inexpensive way :D It warms my heart to see them running and playing with the other kids.
Fun times. Please rain, stay away this weekend, okay? LOL!
