Pay day Tuesday

Wonderful morning to everyone!

For breakfast today, I had french toast with coffee. When hubby and Jeremy wake up, they'll have french toast too but with sausage. I'm sure they'll love it.

2hrs to go before my shift ends and I am hoping to get some much needed rest. And then in the afternoon, maybe I could squeeze in some hip hop abs for 30mins LOL! I badly need to lose some weight. I don't want to resort anymore to crash dieting or taking diet pills. This time, I want to eat just right with exercise on the side. Sounds good :)

Enjoy the rest of the day!

P.S. Woot! Thank God, it's Pay day!

A Snack for Jeremy

I am running out of ideas what to feed Jeremy and well, he also gets tired of eating the same food over and over again. Good thing I found some leftover bread that needs to be eaten ASAP.

I've ran out of mayo so he wouldn't like ham sandwich without it. So, I thought of just making french toast for our snack :) We have a bottle of maple syrup in the fridge so that will make it even more yummy.

I just beat one egg and mixed it with 150ml of evaporated milk (don't have full cream milk either) and a teaspoon of sugar. Just mix everything and then dip the bread. I put butter in a nonstick pan and then proceeded to fry the bread for a few minutes. That's it! Simple isn't it?

It's pretty no-fuss and I just made do with the ingredients that I had. True enough, it was something new for Jeremy so he ate it without complains :)

Now if I could think of something else for breakfast tomorrow :)

Freshly-baked Banana Bread

I was on a "baking mood" last Monday and it's a good thing that we have 2 very ripe bananas I can use for my banana bread recipe. I bought a kilo of cavendish bananas and set aside two to let it ripen more. That way, the recipe will turn out sweeter naturally.

Freshly baked

That picture above is how it looked like after I let it cool for a few minutes and turned out on a plate. By this time, my hubby was itching to slice it but I told him to wait for a few more minutes so that it will be easier to slice it LOL

This one was taken when I finally sliced it.

Sliced Banana Bread

I baked just one loaf, enough for snack. My baby boy loved it too and finished two slices! I like baking this because it's easy to do and doesn't have a lot of ingredients. I have replenished my supply of flour, sugar and butter so I didn't have to buy these anymore.

When we get enough money, I plan to take baking lessons. I just learned by reading articles and watching tv. I bet it would be nice to learn from the experts. I'm seriously considering to start a business in the future.

Happy Anniversary!

Before the day ends, I'd like to wish my hubby a very happy 20th anniversary ! Through ups and downs, in sickness and in health, I am ha...
